    SP,

Since HR is off at a meeting, FYI

    Basicaly you can't.

At 65% moisture it will spontaneously combust if you put it in a pile. I.e. dumpings from a tip truck need to be compressed with a dozer and covered with clay to exclude oxygen, otherwise voom!

Historically, the material has been briquetted - ie hot compression, to 12 ish % moisture for domestic consumption (households, hospital and indsutrial boilers and cement making)

Some Briquettes have occasionally been exported. Mid-late 1980's the european limits for sulphur were reduced (radically) which left a hole for low ash briquettes to replace product from eastern bloc economies. Ireland were ramping up their production but not quickly enough. SECV sent a shipment to Kiel - chartering a vessel that could a: dock in Melbourne and perform their own loading, and b: CO2 blanket the briquettes.

Only problem was the (second I think) load combusted mid journey. SECV lost a motza on the deal.

Advantage of Coldry process (and the others) will come from
    - a manufactured product,
    - of low moisture and
    - low cost.

    Which means (respectively)
    - even sizing with minimal fines due to abrasion and handling
    - low CO2 on burning
    - basicaly because it is competing with coal.
