IMO - governments work like this --------- they make dud laws. The laws run dud for years. Everyone knows it's a dud. But, do governments ditch the dud law? ----------- no

they tack more dud stuff onto the already dud law in a bid to get it to work.

That's how they work.

So, to housing policy -------------- in Oz - it's a dud. - So, very clearly the crisis base beginning is ----------- more social housing - and lots of it.

But what do we do? ----------- we try to add something to the dud idea that private enterprise will look after social housing and housing for Oz

a dud idea ------- now, we try more dud ideas over the top to fix the dud

If Oz wants to fix it's housing crisis --------- it requires an entire rethink and it needs to look at the problem in two parts -

1. long term plan

2. acute situation


BOTH require radical and big steps

I've outlined ideas for both ------ but, it doesn't matter, it doesn't require reposting - because Oz will NOT do radical and big

and it gets worse - because of federation and the incapability of working as a nation - it would be almost impossible with the nature of politics in Oz --------- which is to 'cut' and 'save money' ---------- that's the culture and nothing will change whilst that is in place.

To build a nation, to house and feed a nation, to educate and keep a nation healthy --------- one needs an 'investment' mentality - a culture ----------- not a 'do it cheap'.

moon showed me in all his glory when trying to put France down and say Oz is great that the French government debt is large compared to Oz

that is correct ------------- but, why is the ?

Why is because the government provides for it's people ----------- why?

Because people formed government so the government would look after them - that is the role.

In Oz - government looks after business and it's own reps - that's it. Voters are at the bottom of the list.

Until the culture changes - Oz is going nowhere fast


it is 2024 - to have community leaders in Oz now saying that when people enter the low income area in Oz - the status quo is to be homeless ---------------- is nothing less than a bloody disgrace and a massive failure of government and a spectacular lack of vision
