Yes dave,you may be correct in saying most people were paying higher tax under the howard reign,but a reason for this should be given. Now isn't that good as this means even after allowing for the reduced tax rates,these people were earning more, so naturally,the more you earn,the more you pay. Can you imagine the huge tax burden on wage earners if the old tax rates had stayed together with the higher incomes. Now then there would be something to complain about but that didnt happen. People have to look at the whole picture,rather than just the headline.
