Dave, the main point I am making and I will spell it out for you again... To highlight that under howard,higher taxes were paid is misleading without giving the reasons for your statement. And I have given you those reasons. If you would be happier to pay less tax,simple,just earn less money. Rudd is continueing the tax cuts that howard started but I agree that with the economic climate the way it is,this latest cut might have to be the last for quite a while,but then again,Rudd might want to continue stimulus packages,depending on how much we slow down in '09. Either way,it is a near certainty that Rudd will be guiding this country with a large defecit in the years to come,but no probs as the party are experts in this.
