The era of small/independent business is coming to an end. You would not become an independent pharmacist, lawyer, accountant or a corner store with all the troubles and costs now, you can't compete.
Considering most students get $250 a week from the government its not a tough life at uni. Most still live at home so don't understand mortgages etc until they get them
