Its not your typical pre election bribe budget. Firstly the legacy policy's need to be seen to be fundable with out increasing the deficit, tick. Bribing with a spendathon political poison having already back flipped on the surplus promise and having lost financial management credibility, tick. Try to force Abbott's hand on legacy and other policy, tick.
It would seem politically the best budget to bring down in that it could pressure the opposition on policy while also being financially prudent. The Libs will have to decide their strategy to deal with the politics. Then we most likely will see how the Govt manage to stuff up their own strategy lol.
