Back to Telstra and the subject at hand, the ACCC has come out hard against the supermarkets/ grocers/ Trader Joe equivalents down in Australia today. Telstra, Singtel Optus and TPG might find the operating environment and predatory pricing structures difficult to sustain if Labor takes a brick bat to anti-trust and allows the ACCC to go for billions of dollars of penalties for anti trust violations.
Mobile/ cell phones, internet and phone/ telco prices in general in Australia like the grocers have some of the highest prices in the world.
The Labor Government might be worried about how it has allowed the likes of Telstra, SingTel Optus and TPG along with the grocers Woolworths and Coles to charge some of the highest prices in the world without evidence to support their imposition and so few providers.
