The buyback is holding the stock up at the moment. Without it, TLS would not have got to $4.89 as the market appears to be realising.
Unless you want to talk about the time when TLS was at $7.40 AUD for a share and before $30 billion AUD of capital went up in smoke due to TLS mismanagement, Board ineptitude, DEI and Labor policies connected with Telstra.
