Just that we're ten years behind where WE should be. I think it's fair to say that these things should've been addressed ten years ago....given that Howard had already been in government for four long years at that stage.
Likewise, the republic referendum was just a staged and foiled exercise. We would now have been a republic for about 10 years or so if it wasn't for the ridiculous money wasting exercise that Howard manipulated with contempt that I have never witnessed the likes of, before or since.
As for what good a republic will do, I think it will be wonderful for the spirit of this great nation. About time we let go of Lizzie's skirt. Let history be history I say....lol.
