Mission Brief for LDP Queensland


The LDP has the mission of increasing individual freedom, social understanding and tolerance, and smaller more efficient government.

A truly free and tolerant society respects the sovereign right of capable individuals to make decisions about their work, their property and their private lives. Free society is incompatible with attacks on personal freedom where the morality of some are made into oppressive laws for all.

The Queensland branch of the LDP has the following primary goals:

*Offering the unique opportunity for freedom-minded people of Queensland to have a political voice.

*Providing practical policies to address the encroaching government control of our lives.

*Promoting the benefits of greater individual freedom and personal responsibility.

*Informing Queenslanders about the role of proper non-coercive government.


The Liberal Democratic Party is an Australian party that adheres to Libertarian and classical liberal principles. We represent both economic freedom and individual freedom.

These values can only be achieved by eliminating coercive government interference. There is no other party in Australia dedicated to the goal of smaller, more efficient government that doesn't meddle with our lives.

The LDP is founded and run by ordinary people, not career politicians. We are people who are politically active because care about the future of Australia and Australians. We understand what it is to hold a regular job, run a business, take care of our family, and are also committed to promote personal freedom and a free society that should be protected, not run, by proper non-coercive government.
