yes, the ETS started the ball rolling for rudd's decline
all the other backflips etc have been compounding on that start
imo, rudd's #1 problem is that EVERYTHING must go thru' his office
labor would be wise to nip this in the bud and promote gillard
the libs trouble is that with abbott, no matter what light one puts him under, he is still highly indigestible to the australian electorate as a national leader
