Typical right winged reponse , totally failed to name one federal law changed or enacted in the last five years to stifle freedom.There is none that I know of.
Reminding people of the need to back up accusation with evidence is hardly stifling free speech more like protect the rights of indiviual from targeted malicous gossip.
It is not illegal to seek asylum in Australia so to label these people illegal immigrates is totally incorrect and is delibrately designed to mislead.

When people start introducing laws into to parliament that threaten free speech I will be the first to kick up but the fact is this government has not done and is operating under the same set of laws as the last.
People have an obligation to come up with evidence if they accuse people of serious illegal acts otherwise its just mud slinging and no fair minded Australia should support people publishing such flawed material.
