@moondog did pose that well known truism: Message for Albo. Actually it's for all politicians. "It's the economy, stupid!"
I have a question : Whose economy, stupid? Because both libs and labs are focused on numbers, not people, certainly not the people who constitute Australia's present population: if every year we import a few thousand professional doctors, nurses, engineers, IT developers, you name it: yeah sure - it'll help the economy. And do nothing for our current generation of teens and young adults who find themselves priced out of going to uni, and swamped in the professional job market.
So yes, Labor is in crisis. And so are the libs. And the nats. As for the greens, don't get me started. The recent trend towards "nice" independents is likely to continue.
