Looks like the wheels are falling off. No chance of Labor selling a positive message with all this bad press and now we get senior labor members that will be seen as jumping ship. The dye was cast when they removed Rudd. They staggered Labor voters with that decision and unfortunately from that time they have gone downhill.
Its a fiasco as it appears that each time Labor seems to be improving some event turns up to undermine what had been achieved. Policy achievements are undermined by personality events.
I have always been unhappy with the dumping of Rudd and events following clearly proves those that initiated that have much to answer for. IMO there is no way the first term Labor government would not have won the election in its own right if Kevin Rudd had been retained. John Howard has said as much and he was right. Instead we got a hung parliament and the ammunition caused by having to opt for a carbon tax. While the tax that transitions to an ETS isnt really a problem it never the less undermined Gillards integrity due to the commitment to not introduce same.
Looks like its a case of the drovers dog being able to defeat this Government. They are their own worst enemy. Even the Greens appear to have a more stable approach to politics.
The Greens will possibly see a resurgence in their vote as disillusioned labor voters look for an alternative. some will go to the Greens and some the Coalition. just my opinions.
