The question is, "Can Precious Pete resist the temptation to have another crack?"
I guess the question there is, "Can his ambition to become the most arrogant..lol...prime minister in Australia's history surpass his fears of being rejected again by public opinion as an option?" His gigantic ego has taken a severe pounding over the years.
My guess is that Costello will wait until Rudd starts to slep significantly in the polls, and then he'll challenge for the leadership. Pete has always sought an easy path to the top. Perhaps there's no easy path any more. That is his main deterrent. Poor old Brendan is no more than a human appliance......seat warmer.
