    A PM's word is his or her honor. Once you go back on your word, it is finished, it is over.

    There is a popular Chinese saying:

    "Jun zi yi yan
    Si ma nan zhui"

    Literally, the "word" once spoken, the swiftest horse cannot chase (to retrieve it).

    So it behoves the politicians to say the right things in and outside Parliament.
