Vacant Swan I love it, so accurate...

The really ironic part is that as confidence returns post-election, CEOs will feel confident to invest, safe in the knowledge that their investment will not be sabotaged tomorrow by some idiotic populous thought-bubble.

What is astounding is the long term effects that these thought-bubbles have had. Think of the mad Greens-instigated live cattle ban to ostensibly improve slaughtering methods in Indonesia.

Appalling slaughtering methods continue, but meanwhile there are now more cattle stations for sale in the north than ever before recorded, with the only real interest in buying coming from....Indonesians.

Jobs lost, sound businesses turned to train wrecks, years of built up prosperity destroyed. Lives ruined.

I can tell you that many many businesses that survived are sitting on their hands, terrified to do anything in case they are set-upon again. They are DESPERATE for a change of government.

I can also say that if Rudd's mob were somehow returned, a lot of business would simply pull the pin overnight. The welfare bill will skyrocket, and the ability to meet it, plunge.

Result? Cows come home to roost and the new much lower standard of living becomes the normal.
