Keating stated we had to have a GST or consumption tax, but Labor thought it to be not popular and therefore was never part of the labor party platform. To the extent they openly opposed it.
Suprising that, Labor doing something that is popular as opposed to something that is good and right!!!!
The economy has done nothing but flurished since the intro of GST but thats right it was the mining boom all along not the GST.
