ROFL
.
" Labor zealots " ???That's funny coming from a RWNJ.

What Labor's plan will do is offer certainty to the market. Something that has been lacking for a decade.
Labor may well exploit it a bit around election time. That's no surprise as they are gormless politicians, just like all the others.
But more importantly, this proposed short term fossil subsidy offers flexibility and transparency.
Flexibility :
If renewable technology, particularly energy storage, happens faster then we can get rid of fossil earlier. If it's lags in a couple of specific areas, we can keep it a bit longer.
We aren't throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Transparency:
Because the Greens and the Teals want a fast transition, they will be able to monitor the market. Literally on a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly basis.
This will give both sides very accurate data in order to discuss and set policy going forward.
The data will cut through the bs and politics and the transition should be pretty efficient.
Putting Australia well on the path to becoming an energy superpower.
