All up, when you see the way Craig Thomson is clinging on, even if Gillard was charged she would probably still try to hold on. Whether this would be enough to awaken the ALP from its moral stupor I am not sure. From the outside it looks like there is a large coterie of morally rancid/criminal types in the ALP - how they got there is for the ALP to deal with - but it seems to be the case of the whole lot of them thinking and acting like the law does not apply to them. Sad days.
