The main difference is that Trump has been a success as a billionaire businessman, was a success hosting a reality TV show. Both his hotels and TV shows are all around the world, making millions for the US and he is good at what he does.
Bill Shorten on the other hand has never made anything, run any business, assisted in any business or manufacture any goods/service for Australia or exported in his 50 years. He has not contributed 1c to the Australian GDP or its prosperity.
He has only been part of the unions or ALP. He is about as far as Trump as you can get, He is also very far from any working Australian who has aspirations
