Dave R, Colin Barnett(liberal) is saying he is going to build a canal from the Kimberly no matter what,no feasability/impact study ect-reckons it can be done for 2billion,no way!Geoff Gallop has just started a study for a pipeline-way cheaper and more environmentally friendly.Something has to be built anyway,there is no choice,the state is growing,generaly less rain fall every year and who knows how bad the rainfall will be in 20 years.Barnett has got the right idea but the wrong tact,he is obviously grabbing votes it may work or it may back fire,generally people just want a nice garden with plenty of water to feed it and not even thinking about if it bankrupts the state or not-I would like to see him get in just to see how he is going to get out of it or pull it off.
