I do not understand Labor. They say that gas is required for the next 50 years as a transition fuel, yet everything they do says "we want you to shut down"
Let's set a price for the sale of domestic gas this year and every year in the future - outcome ==> gas shortage forecast to increase as all investment is halted.
Let's set a carbon abatement system and give in to the greens - outcome ==> gas projects that were going to proceed now have a question mark over them - outcome ==> less gas for the domestic market as investment is halted
Let's increase the tax on gas sales through the PRRT - outcome ==> marginal projects do not progress - outcome ==> less gas for the domestic market
BUT WAIT ==> gas is a critical resource for the next 50 years as a transition fuel.
As I said, I don't understand Labor, they are either hypocrites or just stupid or both
