it is Ozzies 'hoping' things will change that has brought us to where we are --
and if all you have is 'hope' for change - then you will not get the change you desire
You and every one of us has to 'do something' --------- not just 'hope' that others will do it for us.
How? -------------- well, education for a start
to know where one is going - one needs to know where one has come from -
that requires a real education - not just learning how to dig dirt and pull teeth - that requires a population who are steeped in the study of history, geography, philosophy, sociology, psychology - etc etc
and look who has been responsible for Ozzies NOT having that -
Gough Whitlam made tertiary education FREE for all Australians
John Howard, Abbott etc - cut cut cut cut Education - out from under Ozzies
Hawke opened the door by bringing in student union fees, because he didn't have enough vision in how better to handle the volume of Ozzies who did want to learn -
but, it opened the door to the atrocity of Howard and the Abbotts
if you want a better future -you'll need to act ------------- not just hope
