He'll come back with some bullshit response because that's what he does.
    Never wrong, never admits anything.
    Total clown.

Yes disconnecting and reconnecting an electric element might be really easy (hey it's only two wires they say) but a professional electrician will certify the job and put in a completion notice. If anything goes wrong later there is a paper trail and liability against the installer.

If something goes wrong with davey boys HWU and his house burns down pray to God he and his family are unharmed, but you can kiss the house insurance goodbye if they can investigate and prove illegal electrical work had been done.

Apart from the real risk to life, why would you risk your house just to save some money?

Fair dinkum. What price a life?

And before I get howled down, electrical installations that aren't earthed and installed correctly absolutely can kill people.
Same as storage hot water units. If the relief valves aren't installed correctly and tested regularly they can go Boom as well. Especially if they've been set to run at 80C as old Davey boy reckons his is.

But not in Dave's fantasy world apparently.......everything is fine and nothing will go wrong.

    Good luck.
