Sorry mate your so far wrong its not funny. I am a carpenter/builder, every job i take on over a certain amount has to have Home owners warranty. This is supposed to guarantee the owners that the job is insured and that they will get compensated if something goes wrong. The only thing wrong with this scheme is that it is actually a insurance of last resort. Meaning that the owner has to take me to court and win the case. Then the insurance will be paid out and the insurance company will come after me and sell my assets to pay the claim. Ie No assets = no insurance = no work.
You can see why most tradies get a bit uppity when rates are said to be too high. My home is on the line every job.
