Tony Abbott is a self-made alpha male with family and is therefore like a red rag to a bull for the socialists whose agenda is to destroy our way of life. I don't agree with everything he and his government do, especially regarding foreign policy and its slavish following of the US line on Russia, for example. However, I am grateful that he and his team have had the guts to take unpopular decisions, admittedly not all optimal, that were needed to stop Australia going the way of the European basket cases.

The hypocrisy of the opposition is breathtaking on all fronts, including the loss of life of boat people, the deficit, and accountability. A month after the Abbott government came to office the opposition was blaming them for every problem and failing.

The left remind me of the lowlife individuals who attack paramedics and ambulance officers, or steal equipment from ambulances, SES trucks and fire engines that are attending incidents of their making.

The opposition never got over being trounced at the last election and continue to deny the electorate its mandate. The only polls that count are run by the AEC every 3 years. They can wait their turn, as the supporters of the current government had to, through six of the most dysfunctional and irresponsible years in Australian politics. It's called democracy.

The opposition is not interested one iota in the future of Australia, just their own political future.

Successive governments have created this welfare monster, which, like Australia's rate of immigration, is unsustainable.

I disagree with the unfairness of the PPL scheme, though it may have economic benefits.

I also have no quibble with helping those in genuine need, but the indignant outrage of "the entitled" leaves me feeling sickened and fearful for the future of Australia.
