    Yes, and I saw his interview last week.

    We had the best response off our stimulus package (compiled by Treasury) for a number of reasons but most of all it is our trading status with China that puts us where we are today.

    Refer to this weeks balance of trade figures for confirmation.

    Every thing else, apart from out deficit free status prior to 2008, spins off from that relationship.

    You don't need to be a Nobel economist to work that out.

    But more sobering in that interview was his attitude to America's problems. There are now fewer economic levers that can be pulled and action plans are becoming risker and more desperate.

    The political echelon doesn't seem to be fully aware of the depth of the problem. That makes sense as they only see the next election.
