The previous Government discontinued the tax offset in their budget. The present Government would have needed to reintroduce it. That offset was originally an earlier part of staged tax cuts. The talked about stage 3 tax cuts being the final part to begin in July 2024. The earlier stages were also modified and brought forward to become Covid stimulus which have contributed to inflation.
If you want stimulus it will most likely come in the May budget as pre-election sweeteners.
