Australian contractors are DISHONEST. If they mark up prices 'because' they can - particularly to a customer they know they won't have a bad debt problem - well, even if it isn't provably dishonest - it is immoral. In other business, they call it price gouging.
That is not the fault of labor - nor is it the fault of liberals - let's put the fault where it lies exactly -
Australian business people -- fair and square. The ex convict mob.
Then, they have the hide to complain about high taxes and no jobs for their kids.
And my friends --------------- most business people aren't labor.
So, lets cut to the chase here -- who really is to blame?

what a load of codswallop. if the government is too stupid to employ someone with a clue to oversee the pricing of contracts its the buyers(gov) fault, it always has been and it always will be. Its not like the expertise to do that doesnt exist and isnt affordable...caveat emptor
