Australian contractors are DISHONEST. If they mark up prices 'because' they can - particularly to a customer they know they won't have a bad debt problem - well, even if it isn't provably dishonest - it is immoral. In other business, they call it price gouging.
That is not the fault of labor - nor is it the fault of liberals - let's put the fault where it lies exactly -
Australian business people -- fair and square. The ex convict mob.
Then, they have the hide to complain about high taxes and no jobs for their kids.
And my friends --------------- most business people aren't labor.
So, lets cut to the chase here -- who really is to blame?

So what you are saying is the labor government departments did not check quotes they were receiving. Do you own a house Pintoo? If you say to a builder you want to renovate and have $100k to spend and all you get for your money is a pergola are you going to blame the builder or yourself?
Same goes for the NBN and pink batts.
