The renewable / climate change guys have made billions from gullible and corrupted Govts.
This is a massive feeding frenzy. Wish i got into it looking back. It was obviously going to have leaks everywhere since the govt was involved. If you look at the difference between QLD and SA power costs, you can see it has little to do with privatization. This is the cost of trying to transfer the grid to a renewable target well before the replacement power generation was even close to filling the gap. That is lack of management and intelligence. They were probably told it was an emergency or we would all die etc from vested interests. SA went so far as to remove coal generation plants. That was a form of burning your bridges in order to be right. Thankfully that inept govt was fired, but not before they screwed the place up. Sounds like Labor 101.
Meanwhile, coal generators are being built at a cracking pace around the world and the greens / anti coal movement are making the problem worse. Countries are now burning lower quality coal in order to generate the same amount of power. This producers more c02. Yes folks, the greens have contributed to more co2 emissions and will do into the future.
It takes years to get a quality thermal coal mine into operation. The world cant wait, so they burn crap instead. China wants to clean up its air, but good luck with that.
