labor to bring on republic after election?

Assuming Labor is elected again in November (inside info....lol)which seems very possible given the lead in the polls, and Rudd's massive margin over Abbott as preferred PM, and given that Malcolm Turnbull would by then be leader of the opposition again, it would seem reasonable to bring on the Republic in Labor's 3rd term, this time under a PM who won't sabotage our desire to choose our own head of state....unlike the shameful efforts of the prideless, passionless, visionless bygone from Bennelong.

Don't like picking old John, because he's looking a bit shaky these days, but that was truly a disgraceful effort, well summed up by Malcolm Turnbull immediately after the event that was always going to be futile under Howard.
