"How about you helping Ben out by finding some real practical thing in life that will be better after a change of government?
And I mean real tangible things.
    Dave R."

Well a start will be regarding the public purse as ours, rather than spending like drunken sailors - which every Labor state and federal government does, and has done for a long time. Disagree, Dave? Give an example!

Second, support a change of government in Canberra. Only when that is achieved will this anthropogenic climate change albatross be filed away in the bottom drawer alongside Y2K. We need a change of direction at the top to encourage industry and mining to get going again, to encourage building more infrastructure, particularly power stations and dams to drive the economy and provide for a growing population.

To say you don't see any difference between the party's philosophies suggests either you didn't look hard enough, or the blinkers shielded the view. The distinction between Labor and the Coalition is as stark now as it has been for the many years I've followed politics keenly, perhaps more so because the GreenFrootLoops are driving the agenda in Canberra.

The old adage of Coalition = growing the cake -v- Labor = dividing the cake has never been truer.

As I have asked here before, it genuinely puzzles me why Labor supporters - presumably democratic socialists like the Party - inhabit this site. I mean ...........we're all capitalists here aren't we? Why would someone want to make a packet from FMG or TEN - or any mining company really - yet be happy to sing Solidarity Forever along with Wayne Swan while he pillories Forrest, Rinehart and the whole mining industry? Genuinely puzzling. You can't be a capitalist and a good comrade guys ........... well Paul Keating can. Oh, and Bob Hawke. Oh, also Kevin [Mr Rein] Rudd. Hypocrisy writ large!
