When the tax rebate of 8 cents was removed in Qld the price went up 16 cents and is now more expensive than the southern states.

I do not know if it is in the ability of the state government to make the price lower but the premier of the state certainly has the ability to get on the phone to the oil companies and tell them to bring the prices in line with the other states or else!

All business is about bluff, threats and negotiation.
Use whatever works.
