Bradfield supporters are out of touch with reality.
Technically it could be done but the cost would be so astronomical to do it effectively that it would fail any cost/benefit analysis.
It's been looked at a few times over the decades and always gets the thumb down.
It's also worth pointing out to southerners that Nth Qld sometimes goes several years in a row without a decent wet season when there is no spare water to be pumped inland.
