Labor is good with nice words - but if they get in (I should say 'when') they are more likely to introduce a 'super tax' (last time it was on earnings exceeding 6% on iron ore companies) if we start getting any decent returns for the risk we took. They have already promised we will be taxed 75% of capital gains for anything bought from 1 January 2020. In any case, for retirees, unless you join an Industry Super Fund you will be taxed an extra 30% on dividends so investing is probably out of the question.
