    alan - i have agreed with you - from 2 posts ago.........

    "as for singles, i agree they are not as well looked after from either party - tax breaks are generally the fairest benefits,....."

    as for the smart people reducing debt with this largesse - the govt has acknowledged a certain % will not spend - what are they supposed to do? - interrogate individuals and withdraw benefits if they don't spend?

    hell, i'm gettin' zip and i would have spent as i have no debt - however, unlike many, i don't vote purely on 'what's in it for me'

    this govt does have long term vision via infrastructure, but surely anyone can see the urgency of the short term problems - innovation, R & D and infrastructure take too long to roll out - stimulus is needed now

    oh, and fatsoh has never run at flemington, so blinkers are never used
