The general thrust of what he said does have merit - those working and paying for the benefits of others should definitely carry more weight in their voting rights - it would be a much fairer system. If you are not prepared to work or if your income comes solely from taxes paid by private enterprise why should your vote be weighted the same as a person who derives his income from his own efforts and tips money into the coffers as opposed to public service employees and the unemployed who derive their total income from the public purse?
