We can expect to see lots of people trying to
escape from the disastrous situation in
Sri Lanka. This is going down hill so fast,
a civil war is likely. China's influence is
obvious. But Australia may well be advised
to do something to help the situation before
refugees start drowning again. A boatload
of thermal coal would do for a start.

The Labor Party will be right on top of this
after the election, of course. Insert manic laughter here.

The Solomon Islanders will have NO say in
the mess their current government has caused.
They will be the next boat people.
Sogavare will have his "go bag" packed and
his Cayman Island account full of Chinese
bribes as his back up plan.

If we aren't into a war in the Pacific within
five years I will be surprised.

Vote Labor, we deserve it.
