Alan surely you can see the point I am putting accross. Is not the economic wellbeing of this nation of huge importance. If we have to borrow for that so be it that is my point. Alan, its a bit blaise in my opinion to not recognise that if the economy were to collapse totally there could be very difficult consequences into the future. I have lived through difficult times where you could not be sure there would be bread on the table and I do not want that to happen in this country again.
I have heard some on this forum even quote Costello as having said that a global economic tsunami was coming. Well he unfortunately guessed right. What is being promoted in the package is an indicator of just how serious things are becoming and I have no doubt that in Government the libs would be doing similar things with perhaps some differing targets. Just my thoughts
