If a mother, an old person or a person under the age of 25 is suitable for a particular job, they will get it. They will get it because of their experience, their knowledge and/or their physical capabilities.
If they don't get the position, it's simply because they weren't suited.
It's the same as saying, if a father, a person aged between 18 and 25 or a ex-retiree is suitable for a particular job position, they will get it. I say that because people may think I'm being sexist, misogynistic or discriminating against age...
