Moon' what you say is so true and I was going to post a similar story about Mao Tse Tung's era famine and also the 1988 Vietnamese famine but my internet has been slow.
All the world's modern day famines have been endured under repressive socialist/communist regimes, regimes whose sole inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery!
