Another one thats been used by this labor goverment.

Labor fails at everything and its no wonder sportsbet and the polls are showing a wipeout for labor.

The Federal Opposition says the Government's trial of mandatory pre-commitment technology for poker machines is dead, after clubs in the ACT voted to delay the trial.

The trial was originally expected to begin this month but clubs in the ACT have voted not to progress with it until after the federal election.

Head of ClubsACT Jeff House says managers are concerned about the expense of installing the technology given the Coalition would end the trial if it wins power.

Federal Communities Minister Jenny Macklin has blamed the impasse on delays to the legislation in Parliament. She says she will continue to work with clubs to hold the trial.

But the Coalition's spokesman Kevin Andrews says Labor must abandon that plan.

"The pokies trial in the ACT is dead, and Labor's betrayal of Andrew Wilkie is now complete," he said.

"The question now remains how much of taxpayers money or how much more taxpayers money has been wasted on the ill-thought-through policy."

Mr Andrews says the Government must admit failure and move on.

"This trial wasn't possible or feasible or able to be achieved," he said.

"The government should have taken that advice but instead they've ploughed on regardless trying to pretend somehow this trial could occur."
