Can any one make these numbers work?
There's plenty of talk about the NBN but no basic numbers provided to back the argument up.
-------------------------------------
Say 10 million Australian homes.
At 93% coverage.
Cost $42 billion.
Uptake rate a generous 50% = 4.65 million homes.
At $60 to $80 per month according to Swan - Average $70 (how much of that lost to service provider profits? 5%,10%,15%?)
Interest on $42 billion at 10 year bond rate 5.15%
Annual running costs of NBN system?
