Accused teen wields machete in brazen carjacking attempt at busy supermarket A teenager is in police custody after allegedly holding a machete to a man's throat during a violent attempted carjacking at a busy supermarket. Detective Senior Constable Scott Lenehan, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said the 19-year-old alleged offender approached a male victim aged in his late 50s in the car park of the Woolworths supermarket in Dennington's Russell Street about 3pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
