The Labor machine is so out of wack, they have had to listen to one persons idea's and put their own on the backburner for so long that they have lost their own aspirations and beliefs, sort of like a cult. The 4 head ministers seem to me to be like your teenage children. not game to take the reigns.
I doubt they will be able to function without Bill shorten. Maybe he's waiting for them to beg for him to come back.
