IMO one of the most important things Rudd said was that
if Labor was elected, Australia 'would speak with its own voice in the world'.

Howard seems to have elected Australia to be the 51st state of the USA....much to the detriment of how Australia is seen abroad.

For a country ostensibly 'at war' he has not mentioned Australia's involvement in Iraq either.

He lost my vote on these two counts alone...even leaving aside that he has reduced human beings to nothing more than an economic unit.
