I think plain packaging and removing cigarettes from sight were fantastic initiatives. There's a reason why Tobacco Companies spend a lot of time designing nice packages. As an ex-smoker I found it helped a lot not being able to see my 'favourite' cigs on display and especially (believe it or not) chucked on footpaths. It makes a diffence believe me and if it didn't Tobacco Companies wouldn't have spent so much money taking it through various international courts and tribunals.
