The Greens Party is an important part of the political scene. Whilst some members might be extreme, others communistic, many not acknowledging how business and free enterprise work and underpin the economy, the changes that some of their policies have yielded make it an integral part of a progressive society. They help counter-balance the policies of the philistines that the coalition now has running its show.
Turnbull was trying to steer the ship away from the right bias, but got back-stabbed instead for his progressive or moderate efforts. There seems to be no-one to take his place unfortunately. A heavy defeat at the election might see a change back to the moderates in order to retrieve the middle ground.
The Greens will make ground for sure, and not only federally, but also in NSW. Gladys continues to show, as did her predecessor Mike Baird, a naivety that I think emanates from being in the centrifugal force that Sydney is.
